What is Muse Games About?

3D Games in your Browser

At this point, all Muse Games are developed in full 3D using the Unity 3D game platform. Through this platform, we are able to deploy to the web and beyond. Learn more about the platform, and how easy it is to start developing on it, here.

Integrated Multiplayer

Multiplayer is a major differentiator for Muse Games. We've built our own high performance real-time backend capable of scaling to MMO levels without draining our users resources (or wallets). We've also developed a web based multiplayer backend suitable for turn-sbased games. Either way, if you have a multiplayer game you've been dreaming of making, we can help you make it happen.

Cross-Platform Capabilities

One of the best features of Unity is the ability to deploy to web, native mac, native windows, as well as to the iPhone. We try to deliver 3D games to as many platforms as possible in order to reach the largest number of people, and cross-promote. Already have an iPhone game? Fantastic! Having a web version of your game on Muse will help generate interest in your iPhone version. You can even sell downloadable versions of your game in our store.

Making Your Game WORTH IT

4+ Revenue Opportunities in the Muse Store

Upgrade Microtransactions

All games on Muse Games can be built to specifically include opportunities for player and gameplay upgrades. These upgrades will be priced on the order of cents or dollars, and we'll work together to set those numbers. Players can purchase these upgrades in the Muse Store. This is a very easy, two-click process for the player. Split is negotiated by game.

Expansion Packs

Also available in the store. This allows players to upgrade the game itself. Adding more levels, and packaged groups of player upgrades. These should be considered in making the game. Split is negotiated by game.

Mobile and Download Versions

These would be complete, full versions of the games (i.e. include all expansion packs and player upgrades). These are purchased whole. Muse Games will drive traffic to these sales, which will be available through the store, or in the case of mobile, through the 3rd party stores. Split is negotiated by game.

Advertising

Unfortunately, advertising is pretty weak. It works, but it isn't worth much. At least at this stage. Trust us, this will not be where earn back all those hours spent laboring over your keyboard. You'll still get a cut though.

The Rest of what Muse Brings to the Table

Helping your Game Reach its Potential

EXPOSURE

This is the #1 thing Muse brings to the table. We're a destination for 3D web gaming. Every customer we bring to your game increases how much you make from the game. And we've got a healthy promotional budget to make sure that happens.

Converting customers to your game is all about percentages. Let's up your traffic, that way 1% conversion doesn't have to mean 1 person, but perhaps 1,000.

A powerful, easy-to-integrate platform

Plug in to a variety of powerful features that will increase the replayability of your game, including leaderboards, forums, achievements, live chat, and more. This is all in addition to an accessible, attractive interface and the revenue opportunities available in the store. We'll save you 1+ year of development. Sound good?

Looking for long term partnerships

We're looking for fruitful long term partnerships. Dedicated developers who want to be able to commit, but are concerned about the risks. If we bring on your game, that means we believe in you, and wish to work with you for the long term.

Friendly, creative mindset

We aren't the man, not even close. We're all in this together, and we're not just saying that. We're invested in Muse's future and we want you to feel the same way. The more traffic we collectively drive with good content, the better Muse gets, the better the customer experience gets, and the more freedom we'll have to make the games we came to make. It's a simple thought, even if its hard work to deliver. We want a platform on which you can make great games and make an appropriate amount of return, so that it's not just a giant exercise in futility. Despite what you may have heard, casual games is a thriving market that IS monetarily accessible. But at our heart, we're in this to have great jobs. Jobs that are fulfilling. Jobs where we can exercise our creativity, empower our imaginations. Jobs where arguments are over the repeat rate of a gatling gun, not whether that excel document was formatted to company standards. Feel the same? Then join up.
