Improving 3D Game Performance
This is a basic guide to improving 3D game performance on Muse Games.
1. Install the latest version of either Safari, Chrome, or Firefox
These web browsers are the most advanced and compatible. In our benchmarks, Safari offers the best performance of the bunch. This may or may not solve the issue, but it's a good thing to do anyway for internet security.
2. Refresh the page
Most of the time, this will solve any problems you might be experiencing.
3. Close all other tabs in your web browser
Each tab consumes system resources. By closing tabs, you give more power to your computer to play 3D games.
4. Close all other open applications
3D games are very sophisticated and require a lot of processing power. Just like closing tabs, closing other applications will allow your computer to devote more of it's power to making your gameplay experience awesome.
If you've tried all of the above, and you are still having difficulties, keep reading.
5. Quit your web browser and reopen it
If you've been browsing the web all day, sometimes your web browser just needs a 1 minute break. Try closing the application, and reopening it.
6. Clear your browser cache
Especially if we have recently released an update, sometimes web browser cache can cause conflicts. Try clearing your cache, quitting the browser, and reopening it.
7. Restart your computer
Computers aren't unstoppable. A restart is like a hot shower for your computer. Everyone feels better after a hot shower. Of course, I don't recommend taking your computer with you into the shower. Aside from destroying it, it's just plain weird.
8. File a bug report
We want to know if you are having trouble. If you've tried the above, and it doesn't seem to work, either put up a post on the forums, or get in contact with us at feedback@musegames.com.
3D games require lots of computing power. We try our best to optimize them for as many platforms as we can. If you are upgrading your computer, and want to play 3D games, pay particular attention the the graphics card. Namely, make sure to get a computer with a dedicated (not integrated) graphics card with 256mb of video RAM or more.
