Cool game, could be so much more
When I read the description on Steam for GoI I envisioned something like the old Origins game Privateer. While the game is fun (albeit maddeningly difficult) I was a little disappointed that it's basically one pass through the map, and then fight until your inevitable death.
This could be so much more. I want to be able to buy & sell cargo, move about the map from place to place making money, buying upgrades. Maybe throw in a storyline that doesn't end in a futile blaze-of-glory final showdown.
You guys have a great foundation, I'd love to see it fleshed out into a much more complete game.

I second this. this game is just in it's baby shoes!
The first time I saw this it reminded me of a very old game,
Project Nomads.
I certainly hope this game will become even better than that game.
Also I made a suggestions post, maybe if we post enough ideas on it it'll get a sticky and maybe they'll even implement some of it!

I agree, when I saw the trailer I thought it implies some actual trade. The futility of anything you do in the final mission is also a disappointment.
Shooting the little planes with various guns is addictive though, and it could be an even better game if it were somehow expanded.
My suggestions:
- Add the ability to select your destination as you please and commence trade (not pre-made selection of 2 weak guns + 1 strong gun, but something more elaborate, like selling a stack of wool, getting money, using money to buy other goods or weapons).
- Manual control of ship's steering?
And to make it completely epic:
- Ability to change your tiny airship/zeppelin for a huge one and recruit a man or two for crew and join battle as a part of a massive fleet

Well guys, stay tuned!
simplest and fastest addition would be ability to replay the game with saving your equipment - this would give opportunity to collect much more armor upgrades and 6 upgraded rocket launchers

Absolutely agree with the last poster - the frustration of losing your dearly-purchased weaponry if you reverse course is very great.
If you're playing campaign you should be able to roam round the map at will, progressing the ship until you can enter into the breach with a thoroughly competent ship which could get a lot further.
I'm also sorry to see that into the breach has no victory solution - there should be some Easter egg situation where you can be rewarded.

How about making the story so that your helping the citiies? Like trying to help the world get into a better state. More places to go with a good trading system and battles to help protect cities. An inclusion of piloting if it doesn't make us shoot and drive at the same time. And everything else metioned already.
OK guys we've finally posted on the blog concerning the future of Guns of Icarus. It's a bit early to divulge too many details, but you should be able to get the gist: http://musegames.com/news/guns-of-icarus/the-bright-future-of-guns-of-icarus/
