Tile Walker
This topic is for the discussion of the 'Immunity' Challenge entrant, Tile Walker
The bright mix of colors kind of hurt my eyes when the game started.
But I thought the game concept was actually quite good once I started playing!

Sorry about the art and colours, I realize all art needs to redone from scratch. Also on many browsers there is a problem with the walker turning around when he shouldn't (fixed it too late for the contest).
Glad you liked it.

You know, I felt a lot of pressure and always thought I was in danger because I thought if he walks off the screen, I would die. When I did lose him to the screen, the just turned around and walked the other way.
Then it became a different game for me, I kind of enjoyed the multitasking and the element of danger. Something to consider.
I think your programming skills are excellent, I have no idea how I would even go about doing something like this.
two thumbs up.

what a trip
@Kevin,
Thanks for the comment.
I'll think about dying or other major penalty for going off the edge. Maybe I'll just have that in the hard level(I could put little fires on edges where you take damage). I am not sure how to balance things between harder core difficulty and casual game semi relaxed, when building levels.
Level design will be a big part of completing this game, lots of Beta play testing involved I think.
cheers,
Grant

Really like the game. Really addictive gameplay. I tried it on the easy level. A question though, once I picked up all the boxes, the game didn't end, what am I supposed to do?

I guess need a better explanation in game. If you pick up all the boxes before the time runs out you get to continue playing the next level, but the timer keeps running. During this time you can get your score up. So the idea is to make as many high point disk and walk over them while still getting all the goals. Make disks by turning tiles to get disk a single colour circle and single colour ring around the edge.
If you like the game please google around for :"ryuuguu tile walker" If I don't win (I have only 6 votes so not much change of winning) the game ill be up with more levels and bug fixes already written, just waiting till contest ends to put up new version.
Cheers,
Grant
